About Us

Arizona Sunrise 12-3-05Firehouse Footwear started out as a part-time “extra” job, from an already full-time fire fighting career for Brian Lassen, a Captain/Firefighter at a large fire district in Southern Arizona.

Brain is a structural fire fighter, wildland fire fighter, has done search and rescue, and water rescue. After Hurricane Katrina, Brian also took a crew to Louisiana for 8 weeks to fight fires, and allow the local fire departments to work at the clean-up, and recovery necessary in Katrina’s wake of disaster.

Brian has worked as a fire fighter for the last 17 years, and worn a lot of different brands of uniform boots, both soft-toe and safety-toe. He was due for another pair when someone recommended Original SWAT as, “…the most comfortable shoe out there”. Brian was astonished how light-weight, comfortable and yet durable they really were. The price was more competitive than most of the traditional boots sold in uniform shops. At that time, Brian and his family made the decision to share these boots with other fire fighters, police, EMTs and Military.

A surprising clique of people have grasped the benefits of the Original SWAT boot. The motorcycle community has realized this boot fits their needs better than most motorcycle boots. People love this boot, because it feels like a tennis shoe with its light-weight, breath-ability, and comfort, but wears like a boot with safety and practicality. Many motorcyclist enjoy traveling to bike rallies all over the country, but they run into the problem of not having enough room to take 2 pair of boots. You usually need one to ride in, and another pair to walk around in because your feet hurt.

We promise the Original SWAT boot will cure this issue forever!

Now, this “boot business” has grown into a lot more. As we travel all over, and find that the Original SWAT name is gaining popularity among the people who understand that you can buy a comfortable, practical boot for a very affordable price, we want to make this product more readily available.

For everyone who has asked, “Do you have a website?” We can now say, “YES!”. So, we welcome you, and as you might hear in the fire service, this is “Our family, serving your’s.”

Sincerely,

Aleyna Lassen,

Firefighter’s Wife
